Casting for Bembé’s Journey the Atlantic/Viajando el Atlántico June 20-22, 2025

Journey the Atlantic / Viajando el Atlantico is Bembé’s annual theatrical performance, offering a stage for an intergenerational cast of artists to interpret and embody the many traditions of the Afro-Latino Cultural Arts Diaspora. Audience members experience ancestral, oral musical traditions passed on through generations to today, centering the African roots of Latino culture.

For the 2025 production of JTA, intergenerational cast members ages 8+ will sign up to be part of the show, and then be cast into specific roles.

2025 SHOW DATES: Friday, June 20th 7:30pm; Saturday, June 21st 7:30pm, Sunday, June 22nd, 2:00pm

SHOW LOCATION: Marcus Performing Arts Center, Todd Wehr Theater (121 E. State Street, Milwaukee, WI)

CAST REHEARSALS: JTA cast members are required to attend rehearsals every Saturday, 1:30-3:30pm, from March 1st-June 14th, with no more than two planned absenses. Rehearsals will take place at Casa Bembé, 611 S. Layton Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53215
